Biographical / Historical
Crystal Johns was an executive at CBS News as the Director of Talent Development and Diversity. Johns was the first person to fill that position at CBS. Prior to that position, she worked for Allen/Nee Productions where she headed projects for CNN Newsource. Before then she was the manager and producer for local news channels in Baltimore and Boston. Previous to those posts, Johns was a producer and booker for the show People are Talking with Oprah Winfrey and Richard Sher. She is currently a broadcast news agent at UTA's Bienstock Divison.

Emerson Coleman is currently the vice president of programming at Hearst Television, a position he has held since 1999. Previous to this appointment, Coleman was the vice president and director of local stations in Boston and Baltimore (WJZ). Coleman has won the National Association of Broadcasters, the National Association of Television Program Executives, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and the National Association of Black Journalists. Coleman graduated from Brown University and the University of Pennsylvania’s Annenberg School of Communications.
