RR 132 Curtis began with some of her personal background and experience with dance and her lack of knowledge regarding other aspects of theatre craft. She spoke about many Black professionals being unaware or having gaps in knowledge about the totality of stage craft.
RR 133-134 Actress Patricia Curtis was asked to speak on the Black contribution to the development of the American musical theatre. Due to the vastness of the topic, Curtis focused on one aspect of musical theatre--tracing historically the Black influence on the development of American folk dance and stage dance.
