Scope and Contents

This series consists of Tim Page's childhood papers, family papers, personal correspondence, personal collection of signed copies of scores and inscribed books, articles written about Tim Page, and other materials related to his personal life. His childhood papers includes childhood writings, drawings, diaries, notebooks, short stories, songs, poems, scripts, and original scores written and composed by Tim Page during childhood, personal belongings, locks of Tim Page's hair, childhood correspondence with family and friends, grades, and Tim Page's baby diary including records of illnesses, immunization records, and records of behavior. The films Tim Page created as a child can be found in Series II: Film Career. Page’s family papers includes books on and by the Page family, the diaries of Elizabeth Thaxton Page (Tim Page's mother), letters and early literary efforts of Ellis Page (Tim Page's father), and letters from various family members, family newsletters, and home videos. These records provide an in-depth portrait of Page’s early years. Materials related to his memoir, Parallel Play (2009, 2010), including interviews about his life and experiences growing up in Storrs, CT can be found in Series V: Writings.
