Scope and Contents
This file contains newsletters from the Affirmative Action Coordinating Center, a group formed in a joint effort from the National Conference of Black Lawyers, the Center for Constitutional Rights, and the National Lawyer’s Guild. The newsletter consists of relevant news regarding Affirmative Action in the United States, advocating for its continued use and expansion. One of the main driving factors behind this publication is the case of Regents of U. Cal-Davis v. Bakke, a supreme court case which affected affirmative action by deeming specific racial quotas to be unlawful, while upholding affirmative action in general. Editions included in this file are Volume 1, No.1 (November 1978) and Volume 2, No. 4 (April-May 1981).
