Biographical / Historical
Cavanaugh was a singer active throughout the 1940s and 1950s. Starting with a European tour with Don Redmand in 1946, Cavanaugh began a successful career in Europe, especially in Germany and Paris. Throughout the 1950s and 1960s Cavanaugh toured and recorded with Nelson Williams, Teddy Wilson, Bjarne Rostvold, and Niels-Henning Orsted Pedersen. Although Cavanaugh never received much public attention, especially in the US, she was well regarded by jazz musicians.
