Scope and Content Note
This collection of approximately 200 lantern slides covers a range of material and is divided into four primary content groups: The Holy Land, International Domestic and Industrial Environments, A survey of pedagogical images, and Fine Arts. The collection's of images on the Holy Land occupies the largest portion of the materials (close to half of the total slides). Slides in this collection are both hand-made and manufactured. Those slides that are manufactered were produced by Underwood & Underwood, T.H. McAllister, Projections de la Maison de la Braun.
