Biography

Marc J. Frattasio grew up in Hyde Park, New York, and Hanover, Massachusetts and has published four books, two about railroads and two about military aircraft. After graduating form Hanover High School Frattasio enlisted in the United States Navy where he served as an electronic warfare systems operator aboard Lockheed P3B and P3C patrol aircraft. After an honorable discharge from the Navy Frattasio attended Bridgewater State College earning a bachelor's degree in management science. Frattasio continued his education at Boston University earning a master's degree in computer information systems.

With a lifelong interest in the New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad, Frattasio has served as a member of the New Haven Railroad Historical & Technical Information Association since the late 1970s. Of his four books, two are focused on the history of the New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad. In addition to writting about the railroad, Frattasio is also a collector of New Haven Railroad artifacts, and many of his materials have been featured in books written about the railroad. The two he has written about railroads have focused primarily on the New Haven Railroad and its tenure in Connecticut.
