The collection consists of photocopies of timetables, maps, posters, correspondence and other historical materials associated with the Central New England Railway and its predecessor railroad lines.

Lyndon A. Haight was born in Pine Plains, New York, and went to Syracuse University. In later life he lived in Auburn, New York and prior to his retirement was the treasurer of the Beacon Milling Company of Cayuga, New York. Mr. Haight was the author of Pine Plains and the Railroads (Pine Plains, NY: Little Nine Partners Historical Society, 1976). He had an avid interest in the railroads of New York State, particularly the Central New England Railway.

Provenance and Acquisition
The collection was donated in June 2000 by the Central New York Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society.
