Scope and Content
The Elizabeth Dennis Hutchins Papers consist of correspondence to Elizabeth from home while she was attending college and law school. The one-sided correspondence documents everyday activities, events and the lives of individuals in and around Scotland, Connecticut in the mid to late 1930s. The correspondence also alludes to student activities (studies, exams, dances, etc.) and appropriate student housing in Hartford, Connecticut.
The collection is foldered as it was received as only two items in the collection are dated. The folders are in no particular order.

Biography
Elizabeth Dennis Hutchins, daughter of Edward L. Dennis of Scotland, Connecticut, attended Connecticut State College [now the University of Connecticut] and graduated in 1936. After graduation, she attended the Hartford College of Law (later part of the University of Connecticut), receiving her J.D. degree in 1939.
