Biography
Earl Newcomer worked at the University of Connecticut from 1 January 1948 until his retirement on 20 September 1968. He was hired as an Associate Professor of Botany and was promoted to full professor in 1962. Professor Newcomer was a nationally recognized cytogist. He did cancer research for the Damon Runyon Foundation. He served as chairman to the University of Connecticut Chapter of the American Association of University Professors.
