University of Connecticut, Vice President & Chief Operating Office Records
Scope and Content
The records of this office pertain to the administrative operations involved in the everyday activities of the University--budget, finance, payroll, human resources, facilities, etc. The collection contains correspondence, reports, studies, minutes, financial and legal records, publications, photographs and maps. Of special interest are the legal records in Series IV and Series VIII, which provide insight into the physical growth and expansion of the University in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. A small glimpse into the lives of Depression-era students, while attending and afterwards, can be extrapolated from the correspondence with the Student Loan Committee in Series V. The records of the VP &CFO (2000-) are described in the finding aid for that office.
