The collection contains materials connnected to the following books: Of Flowers and Shados, My Royal Story, Flower of the sun, Mating of Jaguars, Victoria: May Blossom of Britannia, The Jewel of Life, Xanadu, Realms of Fantasy, Mother Earth: Poems of our planet, Sherwood: Under the Burning Yew, The Juliet Series, Lady of Palenque, and adaptations of Huckleberry Finnn and Tom Sawyer. Biography
Anna Catherine Kirwan, a well-known and beloved poet and writer was born January 25, 1949, in Peoria, IL. The second daughter and second child of Catherine L. and David F. Kirwan, she graduated from Mount St. Joseph Academy in 1967 and attended Barnard College, Goddard College and University of Massachusett's University Without Walls. In 2009, she received an MFA in creative writing from Lesley University.
She was a thorough, dedicated life-long student, never without a book and pen, keeping voluminous journals, and winning her first writing contest while still in elementary school. Most of her published work is children's and young adult fiction. Her children's books include, The Jewel of Life, Juliet in the "Girlhood Journeys" series; Victoria May Blossom of Britannia and Lady Palenque in the "Royal Diaries" series; and Of Flowers and Shadows the story of a young girl who sat for a painting by Winslow Homer. In 2009, she adapted Tom Sawyer

Abstract
Anna Kirwan was the best-selling author of two titles in "The Royal Diaries" series, Victoria, May Blossom of Britannia and Lady of Pelanque, Flower of Bacal, as well as a title in the Portrait series, Of Flowers and Shadows. She was an accomplished poet as well, and her work appeared in a number of anthologies, including The Alchemist’s Retort and Alphabestiary.
