Founded in New Haven, Connecticut, in 1971 by Barbara G. Lifton and Lee Novick, CWPC was involved in assisting to gain public office positions. Affiliated with the National Women's Political Caucus whose records are housed in the Schlesinger Library, Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study, Harvard University.
