Biography/History
Michele Palmer, of Storrs, CT, is the author of several several children's books and has published some of her books under the pseudonym Malka Penn. Ms. Palmer is also a volunteer for the Windham Textile and History Museum. She has also published several works describing American fabrics, historical homes and mills in Willimantic, CT. Ms. Palmer established the Malka Penn Children's Book Collection on Human Rights as part of the Northeast Children's Literature Collection in 2005. The picture books, young adult novels and non-fiction works address issues such as the Holocaust, racism and prejudice, toleration, and war and conflict.
