Elizabeth E. May Papers
A noted educator, administrator, writer and researcher, Dr. May joined the faculty of the University of Connecticut in 1952 as Dean of the School of Home Economics at the University of Connecticut. She retired from the University in 1964.
David McKain Papers
David McKain was an award winning author and retired University of Connecticut faculty member (Avery Point Campus). McKain's papers contain manuscripts of edited and unedited written works, professional correspondence and related documents, as well as photographs and genealogical research on the McKain/McKean/McCain family history.

Marie F. and James S. Peters II Papers
The collection contains the professional papers of Marie Ferguson Peters, the first African American Professor at the University (Home Economics, 1963), and her husband, psychologist James S. Peters II. Drafts and proofs of Dr. James Peters' work is also included in the collection.
University of Connecticut, President's Office Records [Charles L. Beach 1908-1928]
Charles Lewis Beach attended the University of Wisconsin. He served on the faculty of the Storrs Agricultural College and Connecticut Agricultural College as an instructor in Dairy Husbandry (1894-1904). After serving in a similar position at the University of Vermont, Beach returned to the College as its fourth president in 1908. Beach Hall was dedicated in his honor in 1929 a year after his retirement from the college. Charles Lewis Beach died 15 September 1933.
Candice F. Ransom Papers
A children's book author since 1980, Ms. Ransom has donated original manuscripts, notes, proofs, galleys, and books. She has also donated original manuscripts from twenty-five novels (including reference and research materials) and thirty other published works (including some foreign language editions).
Eric Reeves Papers
The collection contains correspondence, emails, lectures, newspaper clippings, notes, photographs, and writings regarding Eric Reeves' advocacy, research, and analysis of the humanitarian crisis and genocide in Sudan and Darfur from 1999 onward. The collection also contains documents regarding the court case, Presbyterian Church of Sudan et al. vs. Talisman Energy Inc, Sudan.
Anita Riggio Papers
Anita Riggio has illustrated a number of children's books and has also worked as a cartoonist and a commercial illustrator. The collection consists of original artwork and manuscripts for 25 children's books and two magazine articles, in addition to a selection of Ms. Riggio's production materials for her commercial work.

Richard Scarry Papers
The Richard Scarry Papers contain materials related to Scarry himself, but the majority of the archives pertains to the creation, production, and distribution of his books for children. The archives contains materials and correspondence concerning Scarry's early work, with Western Publishing and Little Golden Books, beginning in the 1950s. A greater amount of material concerns the works produced by Scarry during his later association with Random House.

Scovill Manufacturing Company Collection
The Scovill Manufacturing Company manufactured a variety of metal products from the early nineteenth century to the end of the twentieth century in Waterbury, Connecticut. The collection consists of design plans for various machine tools and equipment as well as typewritten histories about the company, photographs, product catalogs, and employee pins.

Slow Loris Press Records
The Slow Loris Press was a independent non-profit venture headed by Anthony and Patricia Petrosky. The Slow Loris Press focused on publishing a poetry magazine called Rapport which evolved into a more wide ranging format with the start of the Slow Loris Reader (SLR) in 1978. The Press also published chapbooks and broadsides. It ceased operation in 1984 principally due to insufficient financial support.
Joseph A. Smith Papers
Joseph A[nthony] Smith, children's author/illustrator and artist received his BFA from the Pratt Institute in 1958 and began teaching there in 1962. Smith continues to teach there in the Department of Painting and Drawing. The collection contains artwork for over thirty children's books.
Walter Snow Papers
The papers include the correspondence, short stories, journalistic articles, correspondence, poems, novels, and plays of journalist, essayist, novelist and pulp fiction writer, Walter Snow.
Bruce M. Stave Papers
The collection contains the professional papers of Professor Bruce M. Stave, Board of Trustees Distinguished Professor of History Emeritus and Director of the Oral History Office at the University of Connecticut. He served as Chair of the Department of History between 1985 and 1994.

George Safford Torrey Papers
George Safford Torrey was born 14 March 1891 in Boston, Massachusetts. Torrey was hired in 1915 as an instructor of Botany at the Connecticut Agricultural College and in 1928 received tenure and was appointed Head of the Botany Department. Torrey retired from the University in 1953 and died in 1977.
University of Connecticut, University Libraries Director's Records [John P. McDonald, 1963-1988]
John P. McDonald was the Director of the University of Connecticut Libraries from 1963 through 1986. The collection contains correspondence, reports, studies and information on the Libraries' and associated programs, as well as materials pertaining to McDonald's interests in birds.
Charles Upton Papers
Charles Upton was born on December 13, 1948 in San Francisco. He published two volumes of poetry at the age of 19, and despite his relative youth, has been considered a member of the Beat Poet generation ever since. Upton was also involved in peace activism, alternative spiritualities and later in traditionalist metaphysics.

The Leonard Weisgard Papers document the creative processes of this award-winning author and illustrator, with his book art, commercial and promotional illustration, correspondence, and an extensive reference material series. The collection was donated in 2009 by Weisgard's children, Abigail, Christina and Ethan, all of whom reside in Denmark.
