The collection contains materials associated with the "Day of Rememberance" program that were collected, produced and/or distributed by the Institute from 1997 to the present.

Records generated through the extensive career of Dominic J. Badolato (1919-1911), who served as a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives, representing New Britain, from 1954 to 1976, and was the founding head of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Union, Council 4, in New Britain, Connecticut, from 1968 to 1996.

The collection contains correspondence, photographs, speeches, publications and administrative records created and collected by John M. Bailey, Connecticut lawyer and chairman of the Democratic National Committee from 1961-1968.
Don Ball, Jr. Railroad Photograph Collection
Don Ball, Jr. (1938-1986) was a railroad employee and photographer and author of books about railroads. The collection consists of several hundred photographic images, most of them taken by Mr. Ball, of locomotives, stations, and railroad related scenes of the New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad and other New England and eastern United States railroad lines.
Frank Ballard Papers
Frank Willard Ballard was born on 7 December 1929 in Alton, Illinois. He received his B.A. (1952) from Shurtleff College and his M.A. (1953) from the University of Illinois. Ballard was a professor of dramatic arts at the University of Connecticut, retiring in 1989. In 1966, he established the first bachelor of fine arts degree program in puppetry at any American university. A decade later he founded the National Puppetry Institute at the University of Connecticut.
Philip Bankwitz Research Collection
The collection contains primarily photocopies of correspondence, reports and official documentation of the French government from the 1930s through the end of World War II in 1945. Dr. Bankwitz was a scholr of modern French history at Trinity College (Hartford, CT).
Maxine Bartow Papers
Maxine Bartow and Fielding Dawson had a brief romance from March through May of 1959. The friendship between the two continued despite their separation and marriages to other people in the early 1960s, as demonstrated by the correspondence from Dawson. Also included is the manuscript of a short story by Dawson and the proofs of several of his publications. Two photographs, taken in 1958, are also in the collection.

Brooks A. Bentz Railroad Collection
The Brooks A. Bentz Railroad Collection consists almost exclusively of materials associated with the New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad, including passenger and employee timetables, a parlor car wine list and dining car cafe menu, information about the railroad equipment provided for railroad employees, information about the railroad's merger with what became Penn Central in the late 1960s, a vehicle decal, a map of the railroad system (ca. 1925), and photographs of locomotives.

Merlin D. Bishop Papers
Merlin D. Bishop was born 5 October 1907, in Alhambra, Illinois. Bishop worked at the Ford Motor Company between 1925 and 1931. He then attended Wayne University (Detroit, MI) and in 1935-1936, was a member of the Extension Staff of Brookwood Labor College. He was later involved with the United Auto Workers of America, the Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America and the Connecticut Governor's Fact-Finding Commission on Education.
Rufus A. Blanshard Papers
Rufus A. Blanshard was an Emeritus Professor of English at the University of Connecticut. He was involved with combating racism at the university during the 1970s and 1980s, and was influential in introducing an alternative classroom curriculum to the University. Materials in the collection are comprised of his personal papers, and include documents related to his civil rights work.
