Brooks A. Bentz Railroad Collection
The Brooks A. Bentz Railroad Collection consists almost exclusively of materials associated with the New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad, including passenger and employee timetables, a parlor car wine list and dining car cafe menu, information about the railroad equipment provided for railroad employees, information about the railroad's merger with what became Penn Central in the late 1960s, a vehicle decal, a map of the railroad system (ca. 1925), and photographs of locomotives.
Ted Berrigan Papers
Ted Berrigan, American poet, was born Edmund Joseph Michael Berrigan in Providence, Rhode Island. Berrigan's recognition as a poet came in 1964 with the publication of The Sonnets, for which he received the Poetry Foundation Award. Berrigan died in 1983.

Merlin D. Bishop Papers
Merlin D. Bishop was born 5 October 1907, in Alhambra, Illinois. Bishop worked at the Ford Motor Company between 1925 and 1931. He then attended Wayne University (Detroit, MI) and in 1935-1936, was a member of the Extension Staff of Brookwood Labor College. He was later involved with the United Auto Workers of America, the Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America and the Connecticut Governor's Fact-Finding Commission on Education.

Rufus A. Blanshard Papers
Rufus A. Blanshard was an Emeritus Professor of English at the University of Connecticut. He was involved with combating racism at the university during the 1970s and 1980s, and was influential in introducing an alternative classroom curriculum to the University. Materials in the collection are comprised of his personal papers, and include documents related to his civil rights work.

Roger Borrup Papers
Born in 1913 in Plainville, New Jersey, Roger Borrup worked for the Hartford Times as a printer and typesetter for 44 years until his retirement in 1975. A long-time member of the Hartford Typographical Union, No. 127, Borrup was also the co-founder, incorporator and trustee of the Connecticut Electric Railway Association. Roger Borrup died 9 September 1987 at the age of 74.

Bread and Puppet Theater Collection
The Bread and Puppet Theater was an experiment political theater troupe founded in 1963 in New York City by Peter Schumann. Performances combined dance, sculpture and large-scale puppets and masks. The performances frequently focused on political and social issues including demonstrations against the U.S. war in Vietnam and injustice in Central America.

Augustus Jackson Brundage Papers
Born in Danbury, Connecticut, Augustus Jackson Brundage attended the Danbury public schools before entering the Connecticut Agricultural College at Storrs in September 1906. He was appointed State Club Leader for the Extension Service of the Connecticut Agricultural College and the United States Department of Agriculture in 1917. Mr. Brundage retired from the University in 1948 but remained active with the 4-H.

Eric W. Carlson Papers
Eric W. Carlson was an Emeritus Professor of English at the University of Connecticut, teaching from 1942 to 1979. Professor Carlson was a notable scholar of Edgar Allen Poe and Ralph Waldo Emerson, producing numerous articles and books about the authors. His papers consist of notes, manuscripts, correspondence, syllabi, lectures, reports, and other assorted materials related to his tenure as a professor at the University of Connecticut.
