Connecticut Political Collections
The collection is an artificial one created to gather together pieces of politically related materials that are not cohesive collections in and of themselves. Presently, the collection contains political posters, printed ephemera, realia, photographs, a video recording and published speeches and one manuscript.
Connecticut Soldiers Collection
An artificial collection, the Connecticut Soldiers Collection was created to provide a starting point for research concerning the experiences of Connecticut servicemen from the Civil War through the Vietnam War. The sources for the materials are provided in the collection.

Fielding Dawson Papers
Writings, correspondence, artwork, publications and photographs of short story writer, novelist, poet, artist, and teacher Fielding Dawson. Dawson was known for his "stream-of-consciousness" style of writing and for his vivid memoirs of his time spent as a student at Black Mountain College. The papers contain some drawings and memorabilia, including posters, flyers, brochures, and bulletins, from Black Mountain College.
Thomas J. Dodd Papers
The Thomas J. Dodd Papers illuminate the diverse public life of a self-styled crusader. The collection consists primarily of material from Dodd's Senate years (1959-1971) and the Nuremberg war crimes trial before the International Military Tribunal from 1945-1946.
Francis D. Donovan Papers
Francis D. Donovan (1917-2005) was a resident of Medway, Massachusetts, and an avid railroad photograph and memorabilia collector and researcher, particularly of materials associated with the New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad and its predecessor lines. His papers consist of his writings and research files about the railroad; photographs of stations, engines, and railroad scenes; maps, scrapbooks, postcards and timetables.
First Casualty Press Records
Vietnam War veteran Basil T. Paquet founded First Casualty Press in September 1971 with fellow veterans Larry Rottmann and Jan Barry Crumb. Paquet both edited and contributed to Winning Hearts and Minds: War Poems by Vietnam Veterans and Free Fire Zone: Short Stories by Vietnam Veterans. Paquet won the Wallace Stevens Award for Poetry in 1969.
Charles B. Gunn Collection
The Charles B. Gunn Collection consists of papers produced by and about Gunn, as well as materials he collected of historical information about the New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad Company, Penn Central, Amtrak, and Conrail. The collection includes photographs taken by Gunn when he served as official photographer for the New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad Company, in the mid-1950s.

The Ruth Krauss Papers contain documents and artwork created by Ruth Krauss in her work as a children's author and poet. The collection also includes materials related to the publication of Krauss's books, such as galleys, illustrations, brochures, posters, and audio-visual materials. The collection contains some documents and artwork created by David Leisk (Crockett Johnson), Krauss's husband. Separated materials include monographs, serials, and audio-visual materials.

Francis T. Maloney Papers
Francis T. Maloney was a United States Senator from 1934 until his death in 1945. Previous to that, he was a Congressman and, before that, Mayor of his hometown, Meriden, Connecticut. During World War I he was a member of the U.S. Naval Reserve Force.

Materials from the American Vietnam War era, including American and Vietnamese propaganda, posters from the pro-war and anti-war movements, as well as artifacts from American soldiers who served in the war.
Anita Riggio Papers
Anita Riggio has illustrated a number of children's books and has also worked as a cartoonist and a commercial illustrator. The collection consists of original artwork and manuscripts for 25 children's books and two magazine articles, in addition to a selection of Ms. Riggio's production materials for her commercial work.

Richard Scarry Papers
The Richard Scarry Papers contain materials related to Scarry himself, but the majority of the archives pertains to the creation, production, and distribution of his books for children. The archives contains materials and correspondence concerning Scarry's early work, with Western Publishing and Little Golden Books, beginning in the 1950s. A greater amount of material concerns the works produced by Scarry during his later association with Random House.
